Van Wyck Expressway Technical Tour

We are excited to invite you to the Van Wyck Expressway Technical Tour happening on

Tuesday, Sept. 9th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This exclusive tour will provide you with an in depth overview of the on going Van Wyck Expressway capacity and modernization improvements, including bridge replacements, roadway widening, and innovative construction methods being used to enhance traffic flow and access to JFK  Airport. 

Please note that space is limited to 25 spots, so be sure to secure your spot early.

• Meet-Up Location: will be provided once registered for event.
• Date & Time: Tuesday, Sept. 9th, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

• 10:00 am – 10:30 am | Introductions / Meet and Greet
• 10:30 am – 11:00 am | Brief PowerPoint Presentation on Van Wick Expressway
• 11:00 am – 1:00 pm | Field Visit

Important Information:

• Professional Leave is allowed for NYSDOT Employees - with discretionary Supervisor approval
• Please arrive by 9:45 AM for a prompt start.
• Safety gear must be worn.  Safety gear (PPE) will not be provided.  PPE consists of: hard hat, reflective vest and hard toe safety shoes, protective glasses and gloves.

Transportation:

• Transportation will be your personal vehicle. There will be no bus provided for the tour. Carpooling is encouraged.
